The vision of a just and inclusive energy transition has been at the heart of TEP since its founding. From contributing to national net-zero strategies, to advocating for the integration of environmental and social safeguards in renewable energy policies, to adapting nature-based approaches from international contexts — our founding team brought together diverse expertise with a shared purpose.
They recognized the urgent need to prioritize land and community in the development of energy systems. With a strong belief in interdisciplinary collaboration, they established TEP as a platform to promote sustainable and inclusive energy solutions.
We believe in the importance of developing and integrating renewable energy into human societies, particularly solar energy in the context of Taiwan. However, the focus has predominantly been on the technologies installed rather than on the land and communities where the panels are placed.
At TE&P, we are dedicated to advocating for inclusive solar energy development in Taiwan that respects both local communities and ecosystems. Through local engagement, education, and communication, we aim to support the implementation of solar installations that meet the needs of all stakeholders, both human and non-human.
